My Approach...

My grandfather was a photographer who shot exclusively on film and developed his own photos. I always enjoyed GoGo's pictures growing up, and these memories served as my first "exposure" to photography. In 2015, I embarked on a 35-day United States cross-country trip with my best friend. After visiting and capturing a multitude of National Parks, I decided to purchase my own camera. Today, I have honed in and enhanced my craft by utilizing the following steps...

Humble Beginnings:

Nature photography was my first love that attracted me to photography. As I became more involved with taking pictures, my skill set and creativity grew. Eventually I discovered that my passion lies within taking photos of people, and capturing the moments that they cherish with my camera...

The Learning Phase:

Over the last five years I have had the opportunity to collaborate with friends, clients, and other photographers very closely. In addition to having fun, I learned how to set a frame and operate my camera properly. Most importantly, I learned how to interact with my subjects to capture them in a crisp, clean aesthetic...

Mastery:

Today, I have been able to develop a style of my own. With the photos that we create together, I want to capture the real you. The colors, the mood, the expression - I aim to frame you and your loved ones in a relaxed, bold manner. Let's work together, and I'll show you what I mean!

Why should I work with you?

I offer high-quality photographs and a safe, comfortable environment for a very competitive price. Additionally, client satisfaction is my highest priority with my photography sessions. I work hard to guarantee an enjoyable experience, resulting in clean, crisp pictures.
How much do your photography services cost?

Pricing is dependent on the amount of time, setting, travel, and editing involved for each project. I can guarantee a price that is both reasonable and also competitive within the market. I’ll work with you to reach a price we are both comfortable with. Please fill out a form on the "CONTACT" page to discuss additional pricing details.
Am I able to keep the photos after the shoot?

Yes, as soon as the final photographs are approved by the client, all of the pictures will be available for download without a watermark. Additionally, clients can use the pictures for any purpose (business, social, etc.), while I will retain the right to utilize all pictures for Cates Photography Co.
How many photographs will I receive?

Currently, I do not charge on a per-photograph basis as most photographers do. The reason is because I want you to be happy with the final outcome of our project. Charging on a per-photograph basis does not provide the experience or relationship that I am looking to create with my clients.
